Beyond Kegels

We would like to take this opportunity to let you know about the Pelvic Health Program we have started at Back on Track in our Richmond, Hunt Club, and Rockland locations. Our therapists in these locations have pursued post-graduate education for the assessment and treatment of various pelvic health conditions for both males and females, including:

• Urinary and fecal incontinence
• Pelvic Pain
• Pre-natal and Post-natal care
• Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction
• Pelvic Organ Prolapse
• Vulvodynia/Vestibulodynia
• Interstitial Cystitis/Bladder Pain Syndromes

Pelvic Physiotherapy is established in the literature and healthcare world as a first-line defense against Incontinence and Pelvic Pain.
Research has concluded that Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy (using internal examination to educate on proper performance of the exercises prescribed) should be the first line of defense, before surgical consultation, for stress, urge, and mixed incontinence in women.
